Job Summary
Digital Solution Architect to define robust, secure, and scalable architectures for end-to-end digital solutions at the intersection of IT and OT. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders, defining end-to-end architectures across the software development lifecycle, guiding development teams, ensuring quality, security, performance, and modularity, promoting platform-oriented and reuse-driven architectures, designing cloud-native and microservices-based architectures for SaaS/on-premise/hybrid deployments, embedding secure SDLC principles, leading evaluation of new technologies, driving AI-enabled capabilities, maintaining comprehensive architecture documentation, ensuring regulatory/compliance alignment, and exemplifying Hitachi Energy's safety and integrity values while communicating effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (Computer Science, IT, Electrical, or related field)
- Minimum 8+ years of proven experience in solution or application architecture, software development, and enterprise systems
- Strong knowledge of software and application design principles, object-oriented programming, and architectural patterns
- Strong understanding of SDLC and engineering best practices
- Knowledge of software quality assurance and secure SDLC practices
- Familiarity with UML and architecture modeling techniques; proven architectural documentation
- Hands-on software development experience using C#/.NET, Java, Angular/React; NodeJS or Python a plus
- Excellent understanding of web-based and cloud technologies
- Hands-on experience with microservices, REST APIs, containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, messaging/event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with OAuth/OpenID Connect and SSO concepts
- Linux, scripting, networking basics, VPNs, firewall concepts
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Agile methodologies, testing frameworks, CI/CD, DevOps tools
- Leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in English
