Job Summary
Solution Architect within Damen Naval’s IT Staff Department designing IT solutions, creating standard reusable building blocks and low-level designs, guiding project teams, and collaborating with Cyber Security and Enterprise Architecture to ensure secure, compliant solutions. Role involves TOGAF-based architecture practices, Archimate modelling, and contributing to architecture processes and vision while working in a hybrid setup (up to two days per week remote) in Vlissingen, NL. Requires 10+ years in IT solutions or architecture, strong stakeholder management, and proficiency in English and Dutch; includes security screening as part of recruitment.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience working on IT solutions as either an engineer or architect
- 5+ years’ experience working on IT Architecture is preferred
- Solid experience in translating requirements into (technical) tooling and solutions
- Familiarity with architecture tools and modelling
- Excellent stakeholder management, consultancy and influencing skills
- Experience dealing with compliance and risk topics
- Good command of English and ability to speak and understand Dutch
- Pre-employment security screening and investigation
