Job Summary
Condé Nast is seeking a Solution Architect to own end-to-end technical design across domains, translating business ambition and product vision into practical, scalable, AI-native solutions. You will unite architecture across the technology ecosystem, ensure both the 'what' and the 'how' are realized, embed AI-assisted development as a first-class practice, guide decisions, and oversee execution. You’ll partner with other Solution Architects, Engineering Directors, product leaders, and cross-functional teams to align architecture with business strategy, move teams faster with confidence, and coach engineers to raise AI fluency. You’ll bring a track record of delivering large-scale solutions across geographies, craft designs that are strategically sound and practically executable, and shape how AI-native development evolves within the organization. The role requires deep experience with Python/NodeJS, AI tooling, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), CI/CD, and strong communication to translate complex technical requirements into actionable plans across global teams.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering building software products, at scale
- at least 3 years as a Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, or Architect responsible for defining and delivering technology solutions across complex domains
- expert fluency in Python and NodeJS
- working knowledge of AI code generation tools (Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Augment Code)
- experience with AI-assisted development practices and agentic AI concepts
- experience defining and governing AI-assisted development practices within an engineering organisation (CI/CD pipelines, code review, test automation, production readiness)
- experience with cloud-native ecosystems (AWS/Azure) and deployment, observability, security, resilience
- strong collaboration across cross-functional teams (Product Management, UX, Analytics) across geographies/time zones
- excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable plans
- ability to coach and mentor engineers across levels to elevate architectural thinking and AI fluency
