Solids Control Operator

Job Summary
Set up, operate, and maintain solids control equipment including centrifuges, shale shakers, and pumps while troubleshooting issues and performing preventive maintenance. Operate excavators to load drilled cuttings and handle waste disposal in accordance with environmental regulations. Accurately document daily activities, maintenance, and incidents using Windows, Excel, and iOS applications. Communicate effectively with rig personnel, supervisors, and support teams regarding operational changes and HSE concerns. Follow all federal, state, and customer Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, including participation in daily safety meetings and the NOV Observation Program.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating excavators and other heavy equipment
- Knowledge of environmental regulations
- Ability to handle and dispose of drilling waste in accordance with regulations
- Proficiency with Windows, Excel, iOS applications, and other reporting tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with rig personnel, field supervisors, NOV support teams, and office staff
- Knowledge of NOV, customer, federal, and state Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures
- Ability to participate in daily safety meetings, pre-job briefings, and the NOV Observation Program
