Solids Control Field Technician - Bakken Basin

Job Summary
Oversee mechanical processes for enhanced drilling operations and recycled drilling fluid through closed-loop mud systems on various rigs in the Bakken Basin. Learn to rig up and rig down specialized equipment including shaker tanks, centrifuges, and pumps while performing solids control services such as air drilling, barite recovery, and fluid transfers. Operate heavy machinery like excavators, forklifts, and wheel loaders to move cuttings, and maintain a clean backyard using pressure washing equipment. Complete daily safety inspections, risk assessments, and fluid analyses while adhering to strict safety protocols and PPE requirements. Work 12-hour shifts on a 20 days on, 10 days off rotational schedule, traveling domestically to remote locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid State driver's license, valid insurance, and an acceptable driving record
- Must have the ability to be away from home for 20 days or longer, to complete scheduled rotation (hitch)
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend English
- Solid's Control Experience
- Oil and gas experience
- Heavy Equipment Experience
- Forklift
- Wheel Loader
- Drilling fluids
Desired Qualifications
- 2-year Associate's degree or technical diploma, in Technology, Electronics, or Mechanics, or similar field
- Prior Forklift, Excavator, or Wheel Loader experience, or Certifications
- Certification training will be provided prior to working on a rig
- Basic Microsoft Office experience including Outlook
