Job Summary
Solid Waste Engineer needed to design and implement waste management systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide technical expertise in waste disposal and recycling. Responsibilities include developing and implementing waste management plans to meet environmental standards, conducting site assessments for feasibility and effectiveness, designing and overseeing construction of waste disposal facilities, staying informed on advancements in waste management technology, conducting research to identify innovative solutions, monitoring systems and evaluating performance, and preparing reports detailing activities and compliance. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field), at least five years of experience in a similar role, strong knowledge of waste management regulations, proficiency with waste management software, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred qualifications include a Professional Engineer (PE) license, landfill design/operation experience, and project management experience. Required Qualifications
