Job Summary
Backup Driver IV for the Solid Waste Department. Operates solid waste collection vehicles (garbage, recycling, yard waste) on assigned routes, conducts pre-trip inspections, adheres to safety protocols, and communicates with dispatchers, supervisors, and the public. Provides courteous customer service along routes, assists in training new drivers, maintains and cleans vehicles, and supports operations during emergencies. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid CDL Class B; minimum two years of commercial driving experience preferred; physical ability to perform demanding outdoor work and operate large vehicles in various conditions.
