Job Summary
Manage a diverse caseload of clinical negligence cases from inception through trial, including drafting legal documentation, negotiating settlements, and coordinating progression with internal and external parties. Discuss case tactics with leadership, identify cases ready for LOC or service, and oversee team documentation while advising on technical issues. Provide support, guidance, and coaching to junior team members, contribute to commercial case management, and ensure accurate time recording to meet financial KPIs. Work 35 hours weekly in a hybrid role in Nottingham, offering flexible working practices.
Required Qualifications
- NQ- Grade C Solicitor or equivalent
- NQ- 5 years PQE or equivalent experience working in Clinical Negligence
- Recent experience of handling a case load
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and drafting skills
- Excellent IT skills especially in respect of Microsoft Office packages, proclaim and excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong commercial awareness within a legal environment
- Ability to work well with junior team members, providing coaching and mentoring
- Flexible and willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines
- Excellent Client Care Skills
