Job Summary
Provide legal advice and representation to clients in complex criminal matters, including committal and indictable work, while adhering to Legal Aid NSW policies. Supervise and lead junior legal staff to achieve high-quality service delivery and foster a positive team culture. Manage high-volume caseloads with strong attention to detail and effective communication with vulnerable clients. Full-time ongoing role based in Wagga Wagga, requiring a current NSW Practising Certificate and willingness to travel to regional and metropolitan offices. Closing date is Sunday 23/08/2026.
Required Qualifications
- Be admitted or eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW
- Provide a current NSW Practising Certificate before you start work with us
- NSW Drivers Licence
- Be willing to travel to regional and metropolitan offices as required
- Hold Australian or NZ citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing roles) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary roles)
- Willingness to undertake relevant pre-employment checks such as Working with Children Check, Criminal Record Check, and Conduct Service Check
