Job Summary
Manage a caseload in a proactive commercial manner, coordinating case progression with internal and external parties from start to finish. Discuss and agree case tactics with the Team Leader, identifying cases ready for LOC, settlement, and service. Draft legal documentation including letters of instruction and oversee correspondence produced by the team. Negotiate settlements and issue proceedings as required while providing technical guidance to junior members. Support the Team Leader in delivering financial performance KPIs and ensure thorough time recording.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years+ PQE or equivalent experience working in Clinical Negligence
- Recent experience of handling a case load
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and drafting skills
- Excellent IT skills especially in respect of Microsoft Office packages, proclaim and excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong commercial awareness within a legal environment
- Ability to work well with junior team members, providing coaching and mentoring
- Flexible and willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines
- Excellent Client Care Skills
- Hybrid working available – with the flexibility to work from home and collaborate in-office when needed
