Solicitor - Court of Protection (Property & Affairs)

Job Summary
Manage Court of Protection Property and Affairs matters, including general deputyship management and fee-earning work that contributes to departmental profitability. Conduct client matters with due diligence, ensuring technical excellence, user-friendly communication, and prompt billing in line with Court of Protection rules. Generate new work by becoming a specialist, attending networking events, and developing one-to-one client relationships while maintaining strict confidentiality. Support colleagues professionally, adhere to firm procedures, and exercise proactive time management to meet tight deadlines. Work full-time, 35 hours Monday to Friday, with a hybrid schedule of minimum three office days per week following probation.
Required Qualifications
- fully qualified solicitor or FCILEx
- up to 3 years' PQE
- can competently manage Court of Protection matters
- up to four years' post qualification experience
- appropriate experience gained within a COP P&A department
- be an excellent communicator in how you work with both clients and colleagues
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- able to work under your own initiative to be proactive when working to tight deadlines
- adhere to and follow the firms procedures
- respect client confidentiality at all times
Desired Qualifications
- ideally will have up to 3 years' PQE
- ideally with up to four years' post qualification experience
- desire for continuous personal and professional development
