Job Summary
Advise and support clients on health regulatory matters including inquests, regulatory investigations, and advisory work affecting health and social care organisations. Act as the lead point of contact for clients, demonstrating knowledge commensurate with solicitor experience, while communicating effectively with courts, regulators, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders. Handle a varied workload with appropriate supervision, manage confidential information per data security protocols, and exercise full compliance with billing and credit control protocols. Support marketing and business development activities such as attending events and client training, and build internal and external networks.
Required Qualifications
- A qualified solicitor or barrister
- Previous experience in this practice area or a related practice area
- A clear interest in health regulatory and advisory work
- Enthusiasm to develop skills and knowledge relevant to the work
- Excellent relationship and client handling skills
- Ability to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day-to-day issues
- Highly motivated
- Ability to adopt a commercial perspective rather than an 'academic' approach to legal issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide clear, practical advice
- Team oriented
- Willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the team
