Job Summary
Review Household and Commercial Property recovery files, conduct investigations, and draft legal solutions for complex problems. Manage disclosure, instruct counsel and experts, and liaise with lay and insurer clients. Prepare pre-action applications, attend conferences and trials, and conduct advocacy by telephone and in person. Engage in settlement negotiations, including drafting Part 36 offers, and assist with ADR and mediation. Ensure compliance with SRA Standards & Regulations. Work 35 hours weekly Monday to Friday with hybrid attendance at Parklands, Bolton.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Defendant insurance litigation firm
- Previous litigation experience specifically relating to Recoveries
- A working knowledge and understanding of the Household and Commercial recoveries
- An ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to work with case management systems
- The personal skills to deal with such work as major and expensive litigation involving liaison with senior claims handlers
- 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm inclusive of 1 hour unpaid lunch break
- Office location for this role is Parklands, Bolton
- 1 day attendance at the office required
