Job Summary
Perform a variety of assembly operations on electronic components and subassemblies on the production line, utilizing work process procedures, written instructions, diagrams, and specifications. Primary work involves soldering components and assembling to printed circuit boards using a soldering iron, fine pitch parts, bottom terminated components, and advanced rework. Adhere to all ESD requirements, Board Handling, and Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling levels. Melt and apply solder along adjoining edges, clean work pieces and tool tips, apply flux, and heat irons to specified temperatures. Examine products to verify conformance to workmanship standards and support ISO standards and corporate 6S objectives. Requires manual dexterity, ability to utilize the electronic manufacturing system (OCuity), and pass IPC-DVD-64C, IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001, and IPC 7711/7721 certifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5-7+ years soldering experience
- Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing system (OCuity)
- Pass IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification
- Pass IPC-A-610 Modules: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 & 8
- Pass IPC-J-STD-001
- Pass IPC 7711/ 7721 REWORK, MODIFICATION AND REPAIR OF ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLIES
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Must pass a drug test which include screening for illegal drugs and marijuana
