Job Summary
Perform a variety of assembly operations on electronic components and subassemblies on the production line, utilizing work process procedures, written instructions, diagrams, and specifications. Primary work involves soldering components and assembling to printed circuit boards using a soldering iron under a lighted magnified lens. Apply flux to work piece surfaces, heat the soldering iron or work piece to specified temperatures, and melt and apply solder along adjoining edges. Clean and polish work pieces and the soldering iron tip using chemical solutions, files, or wire brushes. Examine products to verify conformance to workmanship standards while adhering to ESD requirements, Moisture Sensitive Device handling, and ISO standards. Monitor processes, materials, and surroundings while making repetitive motions and wearing protective equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-4 years soldering on electronic assemblies
- Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing system (OCuity)
- Pass IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification
- Pass IPC-A-610 Modules: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 & 8
- Pass IPC-J-STD-001
- Candidates being considered for hire must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test which include screening for illegal drugs and marijuana
