Job Summary
Conduct assembly operations on electronic components and subassemblies on the production line using work process procedures, diagrams, and specifications. Solder components and assemble to printed circuit boards under a lighted magnified lens, utilizing small hand tools, machinery, or applicable materials. Apply flux to work piece surfaces, heat soldering irons or work pieces to specified temperatures, and melt solder along adjoining edges of work pieces. Clean and polish work pieces and soldering iron tips using chemical solutions, files, or wire brushes. Examine products to verify conformance to workmanship standards and adhere to all ESD, MSD, and ISO quality management system requirements. Monitor processes, materials, and surroundings while performing repetitive motions with manual dexterity.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-4 years soldering on electronic assemblies
- Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing system (OCuity)
- Pass IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification
- Pass IPC-A-610 Modules: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 & 8
- Pass IPC-J-STD-001
- Candidates being considered for hire must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test which include screening for illegal drugs and marijuana
