Job Summary
Perform a variety of assembly operations on electronic components and subassemblies on the production line, utilizing work process procedures, written instructions, diagrams, and specifications. Conduct primary soldering of fine pitch parts, thru-hole devices, and touch-up on solder joints using a soldering iron while examining products to verify conformance to workmanship standards. Apply flux to work piece surfaces, heat the soldering iron to specified temperatures, and clean/polish work pieces and tool tips using chemical solutions or wire brushes. Adhere to all ESD requirements, Board Handling, and Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling based on component levels. Support and follow all ISO standards related to quality, environment, health, safety, and security, as well as corporate and site 6S objectives. Utilize the electronic manufacturing system (OCuity) and wear common protective and/or safety equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-4 years soldering on electronic assemblies
- Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing system (OCuity)
- Pass IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification
- Pass IPC-A-610 Modules: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 & 8
- Pass IPC-J-STD-001
