Job Summary
Lead comprehensive inspections and preventative maintenance of solar power plants; diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues including grid integration and communication problems; mentor junior technicians, develop corrective action plans, and maintain thorough documentation and technical reports. Operate with a strong focus on safety, PPE compliance, and LOTO/PLOTO planning; utilize advanced diagnostic tools and stay current on industry trends. Requires 2–4 years in solar or related electrical field, an associate's degree (preferred), OSHA 30-hour, NFPA 70e, FAA Part 107 certifications, and a valid driver's license. Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in the solar industry or a related electrical field
- Associate's degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred
- OSHA 30-hour and NFPA 70e certifications
- FAA Part 107 Certification (or proficiency operating Drones for Aerial Thermographic purposes)
- Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, solar energy technologies, and grid-tied systems
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools such as I/V Curve Tracers, Meggers, and Isolation testers
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and engineering drawings
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior technicians in the field
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
