Job Summary
Lead by example in a role that performs advanced inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar energy systems in high-voltage environments. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive electrical/mechanical inspections, infrared thermography, I/V curve tracing, developing preventative maintenance schedules, diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues in 600Vac/1500Vdc environments, and producing detailed technical reports. The position emphasizes independent work, mentoring junior technicians, and pursuing a defined development pathway toward Technician III, with company-sponsored certifications and educational support (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70e, FAA Part 107, tuition reimbursement). Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in solar or related electrical field
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical systems and solar energy principles
- Familiar with diagnostic tools such as I/V Curve Tracers, Meggers, Isolation testers
- Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- FAA Part 107 Certification (preferred)
- OSHA 30-hour and NFPA 70e certifications (preferred)
