Solar Operations & Maintenance Technician (Level 1)

Solar Operations & Maintenance Technician Level 1 performs routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic troubleshooting on solar energy systems under senior technicians, with a defined development pathway to Technician II. Responsibilities include safety adherence, conducting inspections of solar energy systems, preventative maintenance tasks on modules and wiring, identifying and reporting equipment issues, assisting with basic troubleshooting using fundamental diagnostic tools, completing work-order documentation accurately, and participating in company-provided training to enhance solar knowledge. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 0–1 year of related experience, strong mechanical aptitude, basic troubleshooting skills, comfort with low-voltage and non-hazardous environments under supervision, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a valid driver’s license. The role requires the ability to drive, stand/walk long distances, navigate ladders and heights safely, withstand extreme weather conditions, and lift/move objects as specified.
