Solar O&M Site Manager - Sunrise NC

Job Summary
Ensure operation of all assigned solar assets within regulatory guidelines and implement safety practices supported by HSEQ. Manage execution of plant activities via scheduled work orders, coordinate technician on-call schedules, and oversee outages to minimize downtime while controlling costs. Review and report monthly KPIs for safety, production, energy availability, and planned versus actual performance. Coordinate with Control and Monitoring Rooms, Maintenance Planners, Engineers, and Purchasing to develop maintenance plans, annual budgets, and long-term facility strategies. Monitor site performance through SCADA, CMR, and SAP, ensuring complete work order data entry and inventory audits. Support E&C and Business Development by reviewing technical specifications for new projects or upgrades, and implement continuous improvement programs for technicians.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of operations and maintenance or construction experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree Engineering
- Solar energy or renewable energies background
- Relevant Military experience and training (NCO or Officer level)
- CMRP certified
- NFPA 70 E Trained
- Valid driver's license operable in all 50 states and Canada
- Clean driving record (no suspension/revocation in last 3 years, no disqualifying offenses, no more than 2 moving violations, no reckless driving)
- Clean driving record (no DUI/DWI, refusal to test, leaving scene, CDL violation, or at-fault fatal accident in last 5 years)
- Ability to comment on legal documents and agreements
- Ability to work off hours as needed
- Good communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position including climbing ladders, stairs, and perform comprehensive site inspections
- 50% travel required (domestic and international)
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated initiative and drive for high achievement and continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree Engineering preferred
- 4yrs relevant or related experience
- Solar energy or renewable energies background preferred
- IT Tool Knowledge: SAP, SAP PM, Power BI
