Job Summary
Collaborate with the team to install racking systems, solar panels, and arrays on residential roofs. Properly install rooftop junction boxes, wire conduit jumpers, and terminate MC4 connectors with precision. Read installation plans and conduct basic electrical checks while ensuring all work meets company quality standards. Provide service and maintenance for existing systems as required. Adhere to all PPE, OSHA, and safety regulations while maintaining clean work areas. This role requires 1 to 2 years of residential solar experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel and stay overnight throughout the state. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and physically capable of lifting heavy equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of residential solar experience
- Proven capability to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable working on rooftops and heights
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Clean driving record for insurability
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight throughout the state when necessary
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including hot sun, cold, and rain
- Ability to work in various environments, such as rooftops, attics, and crawl spaces
- Willingness and ability to climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods
- Ability to meet physical requirements including bending, lifting, pulling, and carrying heavy equipment (50lbs +)
- Pass a drug screening
