Job Summary
Install racking, modules, inverters, and other solar system components for residential, commercial, nonprofit, and community projects across Martha's Vineyard. Perform roof and ground-mounted installation work safely and efficiently, laying out and staging materials while maintaining exceptional workmanship and jobsite organization. Identify and resolve installation issues in the field, support commissioning and project closeout, and contribute to a positive, collaborative crew culture. Represent SMCo professionally on every jobsite. A Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license is a plus, and candidates actively enrolled in required classroom education are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Solar installation experience
- strong residential/commercial construction experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- comfort using hand and power tools
- An understanding of installation sequencing and workflow
- Ability to work safely on roofs
- Ability to work safely on ladders
- Ability to work safely on active construction sites
