Job Summary
Install and maintain residential PV systems: assemble and install solar panels on roofs, configure PV systems based on site conditions and customer needs, and connect panels to the power grid. Maintain QA and crew safety; complete projects within established policies; ensure equipment is weather sealed; perform routine PV system maintenance; assist the Electrician with connecting PV panels to the electrical system. Requires ability to read building plans and equipment manuals, use hand and power tools, and work outdoors as part of a team; high school diploma or equivalent required with preferred vocational/technical training; experience in solar, roofing, or construction. PV installation is done outdoors and often involves work on rooftops, attics, and crawl spaces. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Vocational or technical school training preferred
- Experience in solar, roofing, or construction preferred
- Extensive knowledge of PV equipment and installation
- Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment
- Ability to read building plans
- Ability to read equipment manuals
- Ability to use hand and power tools to install PV panels
- Ability to use ION technology, such as smartphones, Paycom, Field Pro, Salesforce
