Job Summary
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential solar PV systems following design specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and company standards. Collaborate with team members (electricians, project managers, roof lead, foreman) to ensure projects run smoothly, while performing some solo electrical/maintenance tasks. Identify and resolve system malfunctions, ensure safety compliance (OSHA) and regulatory requirements, document work and materials, and verify system performance. Skills include reading blueprints/schematics, basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, and familiarity with solar components; NABCEP certification or equivalent is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors at heights; strong teamwork and communication are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years solar installation experience (residential or commercial)
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems and their components
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- OSHA safety guidelines awareness
- NABCEP certification or equivalent (a plus)
- OASHA certifications a plus
