Job Summary
Develop and support creation of safety and compliance strategic goals to drive culture, compliance, and results across departments and subcontractors. Supervise safety staff, design effective programs to reduce injuries, and execute an Occupational Health & Safety Management System. Lead incident investigations with root cause analysis, facilitate training, and liaise with vendors for hazardous waste management. Monitor regulatory changes, interpret requirements, and assist site management in ensuring compliance with all agencies. Identify best practices to improve safe work practices while providing technical coaching and mentoring to employees. This role operates in a field environment with extended standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, including inclement weather conditions. Requires 5+ years of supervisory safety experience, OSHA 510 certification, and 100% travel willingness.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED
- OSHA 510
- Five (5) years related supervisory experience in a safety role
- NFPA70E Certified
- F/A CPR AED Certified
- Willing to travel 100%
- Working knowledge of the construction/electrical/gas industry/and HDD industry
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think strategically and provide strong leadership
- Strong knowledge of applicable regulations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less
- Valid US Driver's license
- Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in related field of study
- OSHA 500
- OSHA 10 and 30 Certifications
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP)
