Solar Engineer

Job Summary
Develop scopes of work and prepare proposals for moderate to complex geotechnical engineering testing projects, primarily in solar energy. Manage routine to complex geotechnical projects including scope, schedule, budget, and safety while performing engineering analyses using industry standards. Prepare professional reports, review junior staff work, and provide quality reviews to identify and resolve internal and external issues. Lead technical teams, mentor junior engineers, and oversee construction phase consulting for materials testing. Coordinate staff and resources with account leaders to ensure specifications are followed and support client relationships to achieve solar market goals. Identify and pursue solar-related business development opportunities. Requires a Bachelor's in geotechnical or civil engineering, PE licensure in multiple states, and 5+ years of solar geotechnical experience. Remote or hybrid work available near designated locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering field
- Professional Engineer registration/licensure in ONE of the following states: ND, SD, MN, IA, WI, KS, NE, OK, MO, TX, LA, NM, or AZ
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving history
- 5 or more years of geotechnical engineering experience in solar energy
- Previous experience with large scale construction projects
- Ability to bring in existing client relationships
