Job Summary
Solar & Energy Storage Estimator on our Development team who will develop detailed cost estimates for solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects, analyze engineering drawings and proposals to identify scope and cost drivers, support augmentation strategies and lifecycle cost analysis, manage and conduct EPC bid processes using Procore, solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing, assist in bid preparation and RFP responses, and collaborate across engineering, development, and procurement to produce competitive, well-structured bids.
Required Qualifications
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in solar, energy storage, or related infrastructure estimating
- Background in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong Excel skills and analytical ability
- Strong communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across engineering, development, and procurement functions
- Experience using Procore for EPC bids and familiarity with Bluebeam for estimating (preferred)
- Exposure to ISO markets or dispatch modeling (preferred)
- Familiarity with PVsyst or similar solar modeling tools (preferred)
- Knowledge of EPC structures and C&I solar + storage markets (preferred)
