Job Summary
Manage day-to-day operations on utility-scale solar projects by supervising foremen and field crews, directing construction activities, and ensuring safety compliance through site inspections. Cultivate a core safety value while coordinating trade work, reviewing project documents, and resolving installation difficulties. Assist the Site Manager with budget development, production reporting, take-offs, and weekly forecasting to maintain schedule, profitability, and customer approval. Submit daily reports, attend progress meetings, and address delays caused by weather or emergencies. Handle special assignments as requested by leadership.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Three or more years of construction management in electrical, utility scale solar experience
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work long and/or extended hours to include weekends, as needed
- Ability to travel frequently
- Familiar with OSHA regulations
- Familiar with local codes
- Familiar with AHJ standards
- Familiar with NEC code
- Understanding of how to read and interpret contracts, plans, and specifications
- Effective time management skills
- Understanding of how to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Collaborative work style
- Commitment to get the job done
