Job Summary
CDL Driver with construction experience and endorsements sought to operate equipment on project sites per Mortenson safety policies. Responsibilities include operating equipment per project requirements, adhering to safety regulations, maintaining clean and orderly work areas, performing routine maintenance (lubrication, fueling, cleaning), monitoring equipment for malfunctions, following work plans/pre-task cards, and collaborating with diverse team members. Must read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals, load charts, and have math proficiency for measurements and calculations. Requires ability to move heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and operate levers, gears, pedals, and steering. Required Qualifications
- Related construction experience preferred
- Current driver’s license of proper classification and necessary endorsements as required by law
- Strong teamwork orientation
- Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
- Detail orientation
- Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals, and maneuver steering wheel to operate equipment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts
- Knowledge of equipment and their uses
- Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, and multiplication)
- Ability to work independently
- Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
- Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
