Job Summary
Produce photovoltaic array electrical design drawings and specifications, then plan and execute design, analysis, test, and qualification for mechanical solar array structures. Support weekly subcontract telecommunications, review in-process data, and attend Manufacturing and Test Readiness Reviews to ensure pre-shipment readiness. Develop cost estimates and track efforts against these estimates while providing input as an Integrated Process Team member for complete solar array mechanical and electrical design and production efforts. This position is located onsite in Redondo Beach, CA, and requires active Top Secret clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
- Master's degree in STEM
- PhD in STEM
- 5 years of relevant experience
- 3 years of relevant experience
- 1 year of relevant experience
- 8 years of relevant experience
- 6 years of relevant experience
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Active SCI access at the time of application
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain SCI access within a reasonable period
- Experience with procurement of aerospace hardware design
- Development of components
- Mechanical/electrical troubleshooting of components and equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Working and programming knowledge with LabView
- Demonstrated multidisciplinary skills and ability to work with manufacturing and other engineering disciplines
