Job Summary
Sojourner Advocate – Domestic Violence High Risk Team (DVHRT) provides targeted advocacy and support to high-risk domestic violence survivors, including safety planning, information and referrals, outreach to victims, coordination with law enforcement and legal systems, and community education. The role involves crisis response, court accompaniment, program development and collaboration with community partners, with a focus on individualized safety planning and connection to resources. Requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in social work/criminal justice/human services, 2–4 years of related experience, ability to work evenings/weekends/overnight, bilingual skills are a plus, and the position is full-time in Milwaukee, WI.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social work, criminal justice, human services, or relevant field
- Two to four years related professional experience; or equivalent combination of education or experience
