Job Summary
Conduct in-situ testing using pressure meters, hammer energy calibration systems, dilatometers, and vane shear testers alongside drilling and CPT activities. Perform setup, calibration, maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment while collecting and monitoring field data with precision. Execute pre-trip inspections, establish control zones, and process data for reporting. Travel within California and surrounding Western states as needed. Requires ability to lift 30+ pounds, stand for long periods, and work in varied weather conditions. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering field testing or equivalent experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with Civil engineering field testing
- Ability to operate in-situ testing equipment, including pressure meter, hammer energy calibration system, dilatometer and vane shear testing equipment
- Ability to lift up 30+ pounds throughout the day
- Required to wear protective and safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to maneuver in small areas
- Ability to walk, use hands to finger, handle objects, tools, or controls
- Reach with hands and arms
