Job Summary
Operate specialized drill rigs including Klemm, Hütte, TEI, WORD, and Casagrande for soil nails, micropiles, tiebacks, anchors, and grouting applications. Conduct daily inspections, routine maintenance, and minor mechanical troubleshooting on equipment. Perform rigging, hoisting, spotting, and prepare work areas while operating support machinery like skid steers and excavators. Assist with general labor duties including material handling, digging, and site cleanup. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to PPE and OSHA requirements. Travel extensively across the Rocky Mountain region and the United States. Requires 2+ years of rig operation experience and ability to lift 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience operating soil nail, micropile, or similar drill rigs
- Experience in geotechnical, foundation, or heavy civil construction
- Knowledge of drilling methods such as: Hollow-bar, Open-hole, Auger, Down-the-hole hammer (DTH), Duplex drilling
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to travel extensively
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and uneven terrain
- Ability to travel extensively to different jobsites in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 10 (or higher) certification
- First Aid certification
- Experience with grouting, ground improvement, or earth retention systems
