Job Summary
Software Verification Engineer responsible for verifying customer software against provided technical documentation, achieving software builds across multiple languages, diagnosing and resolving build issues, and performing feature testing to ensure alignment with requirements. The role emphasizes analyzing requirements, following build documentation, collaborating with clients and team members, and continuously improving verification processes while staying current with languages and tooling. Remote-first position with a central office in The Hague, offering onboarding and growth opportunities, team activities, and a collaborative environment. The candidate should have 2+ years of software development experience, familiarity with Linux/Windows/Mac environments, backend languages (Python, Java, NodeJS, PHP), databases (MongoDB, SQL, MySQL), Git, basic front-end skills (HTML/CSS/JavaScript), API configuration basics, and experience with build tools like msbuild, webpack, and Maven. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, adaptability, teamwork, and time-management skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years of experience with Linux, Windows and Mac environment fundamentals
- Basic understanding of popular backend languages (Python, Java, NodeJS and PHP)
- Prior experience or understanding of database- and server configuration (MongoDB, SQL, MySQL)
- Prior experience or understanding of Git
- Basic knowledge of front-end languages HTML, CSS, and JavaScript beneficial
- Basic knowledge of API configuration beneficial
- Ability to follow technical build documentation accurately and methodically
- Experience with various build tools, like (but not specifically) msbuild, webpack, maven, and others of the type beneficial
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in multiple programming languages and software development tools
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze technical documentation and identify key requirements
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex software issues
- Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaborating with teams and clients
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to various programming environments and quickly learn new technologies
- Teamwork: Strong team player with the ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Time Management: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
