Job Summary

Conduct automated and manual software testing for analytical instruments, including mass spectrometers and electron microscopes, within a multi-disciplinary team. Validate software enabling research in cancer, drug development, and semiconductor manufacturing by identifying, reproducing, and documenting defects using tools like TestComplete, Selenium, and Robot Framework. Write comprehensive test plans, cases, and documentation while collaborating with developers and scientists using agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Requires advanced degree or two years of experience in software testing, proficiency in Python, C#, Java, and SQL, plus ISTQB certification preference. Full-time standard schedule with up to 20% travel required.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree with no prior experience
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in software testing
  • emphasis on automated testing
  • Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (TestComplete, Selenium, Robot Framework, or similar)
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab)
  • Programming skills in one or more languages: Python, C#, JavaScript, Java
  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, TestRail)
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices
  • Experience with API testing and test management systems
  • Ability to write clear, comprehensive test plans, cases, and documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience working in cross-functional, global teams
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems and IT fundamentals
  • Ability to identify, reproduce, and clearly document software defects
  • Understanding of scientific principles and laboratory workflows
  • Experience with performance testing and automation frameworks
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  • Knowledge of database systems and SQL
  • Travel may be required up to 20%

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Bioinformatics, or related technical/scientific field
  • ISTQB certification preferred, particularly Test Automation Engineer certification
