Job Summary
Entry-level Software Test Engineer to create, document, and execute manual test plans and test cases for THAAD Trainer software at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. You will identify, document, and track defects, participate in test planning, and collaborate with developers and testers in an agile environment to ensure high-quality, reliable system performance for mission-critical training solutions. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field, the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required), and strong communication, organization, and analytical skills. Preferred coursework or projects related to software testing or quality assurance and familiarity with SDLC/agile and Jira are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
- Zero (0) or more years of relevant experience (Entry Level)
- Must possess the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to think critically and logically
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments
- Coursework or projects related to software testing or quality assurance
- Exposure to software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies
- Experience with bug-tracking or test management tools specifically Jira
