Job Summary
Develop and maintain functional and non-functional test cases, including manual and automated scenarios, while building and sustaining test infrastructure, environments, and supporting processes. Execute planned test activities across internal and external systems, analyze logs and results, and troubleshoot or report bugs to verify fixes. Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to ensure software quality meets standards before every release. You will receive a mentor during your first months to support your learning of AXIS OS and testing processes. This role sits within the R&D Quality Assurance organization, which includes over 300 people across five departments dedicated to testing the Linux-based operating system powering Axis network devices.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in engineering (or equivalent experience)
- ability to see the big picture in both systems and test strategies
- genuine interest in software testing
- hands-on experience in test automation
- genuine interest in applying AI and large language models (LLMs) to software quality and engineering
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Swedish
Desired Qualifications
- experience in several of the following areas: Embedded Linux systems
- Testing complex systems, including API, integration, and UI automation
- Network video (e.g., MPEG4, H.264, H.265), network administration and TCP/IP
- Modern test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
- Jenkins (or similar CI tools) and Git (or similar version control system)
- Python scripting
- Test automation of both existing and newly developed test cases
- Agile development
- Experience mentoring colleagues and promoting quality best practices
