Job Summary
Execute test protocols during development and verification of product software, writing and updating protocols to validate requirements. Drive all product software testing types using automated and manual techniques, while triaging and diagnosing field-reported bugs. Log and analyze test results, creating and maintaining documentation for FDA-compliant quality assurance systems. Define testing standards and evolve processes, managing automated UI tests in a continuous integrated environment. Collaborate with the software development team to test features as they complete, ensuring reliable device performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Experience in Medical Device development and/or sustaining engineering efforts utilizing a stage-gate process
- Working knowledge of FDA Design Controls
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows Office applications including MS Outlook, MS Powerpoint, MS Project, Visio, etc.
- Able to solve complicated technical challenges and use good judgement in making timely decisions
- Must be able to collaborate effectively with others, works well within cross-functional teams and across multiple sites, as applicable
- Must be capable to effectively executing on multiple work streams in parallel
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Comfortable presenting information to team members and stakeholders
- Must be able to work in a professional open-space environment without distracting others
- Must have a positive attitude and capable of accomplishing efforts in a timely manner and with high quality
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in hand held electro-mechanical devices
- Working knowledge of international standards (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO14971, ISO10993, IEC60601, etc.)
- Experience developing product design deliverables
- Experience with scripting languages i.e. bash, perl, python
