Job Summary
Software Test Engineer responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test plans to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of embedded software in aerospace/defense contexts; collaborates with developers and product teams to identify defects, automate testing processes, and deliver high-quality solutions. Role involves a two-week-onsite, two-week-remote rotation with per diem and travel expenses; future programs may offer fully remote work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 3–7 years of experience in software or systems testing within aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomy, or embedded systems
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, including Verification & Validation (V&V), regression, functional, and integration testing
- Experience developing test cases and procedures
- Ability to interpret technical requirements, interface specifications, system documentation, and architectures
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and defect reporting skills
- Experience documenting test results and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
