Job Summary
Lead Salesforce development as Software Technical Lead – Salesforce based in the new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide. Manage engineers within a technical domain, guiding the full development lifecycle from problem discovery and system design to deployment and maintenance of live code. Collaborate with Product Managers to deliver high-quality, scalable digital solutions that align with user-centric goals and the enterprise’s technical vision. Responsibilities include day-to-day delivery and strategic planning, mentoring developers in best practices, ensuring integration across Salesforce modules, optimizing performance (SOQL/Apex), managing release processes, and contributing to DevOps practices. Emphasis on leadership, accountability, and delivering customer value through technology.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years’ experience in systems development and implementation
- 3+ years experience in technical leadership and demonstrable ability to inspire and mentor less experienced developers in best practices for software development
- Demonstrated implementation experience across key Salesforce modules including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience/Community Cloud, Knowledge, Omni-Channel, and Analytics/CRM Analytics
- Strong understanding of Salesforce governor limits and platform constraints with hands-on experience optimising SOQL queries, bulkified Apex patterns, and large-data processing
- Deep expertise in the Salesforce Integration stack including REST APIs, Platform Events, Named Credentials, External Credentials, and Connected/External Apps
- Proven capability in release management frameworks, governance, and deployment strategies using tools such as GitHub, AutoRABIT, and modern DevOps practices
- Experience documenting and implementing coding and configuration best practices across Apex, LWC, Visualforce
- Practical experience with middleware and integration platforms like MuleSoft, Informatica
- Experience configuring and deploying Salesforce ISV/AppExchange products (e.g., Conga, Quip)
- Foundational background in Java-based technologies (Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Spring IO)
- Skilled in analyzing upcoming Salesforce release features and determining implementation or decommissioning strategies
- Experience guiding teams through agile product discovery and delivery phases
- Experience working with both technical and non-technical partners to influence stakeholders
- Strong accountability ethic
- Based in Adelaide for a full-time permanent role
