Job Summary
Maintain and optimise existing software systems to ensure high availability and compliance with pharmaceutical regulations. Carry out technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for Level 2 and 3 application issues, leading daily work activities including customer incidents and change requests. Collaborate with IT, Automation, and scientists to translate business requirements into technical specifications, develop multi-level system testing, and document deviations within the site QMS. Monitor system performance to prevent downtime and manage ongoing compliance activities for audits and inspections. Work in a hybrid role supporting the biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector in Cork.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or qualification in IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years' experience delivering and supporting IT software solutions
- Experience in developing, testing, and deploying software solutions using Python, SQL, and JavaScript
- Strong documentation skills with good knowledge of change controls process, GMP, and data integrity requirements within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- Strong manual software testing experience
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated willingness to learn both technically as well as business processes and applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work on your own initiative and collaborate effectively with business teams and third parties
