On-siteLeatherhead, England, United Kingdom
Job Summary
Software Support Developer role bridging 2nd line application support for eCommerce platforms and legacy systems with hands-on software development. The role couples incident ownership and problem management (60–70% of work) with development, bug fixes, and platform modernization (30–40%). The engineer will serve as a conduit between support and engineering, resolve complex incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive long-term improvements. Core technical responsibilities include delivering 2nd line technical support for web, API, and backend systems using .NET/C#, RESTful APIs, React frontend tech, SQL databases, and related tools; collaborating with 1st line support, IT operations, and business stakeholders; managing incidents, service requests, and changes via JIRA; participating in code reviews and CI/CD deployments; and contributing to platform modernization efforts (microservices, cloud migration, containerization). Essential skills include strong debugging, API tooling, familiarity with Git/CI/CD, SLA-driven support experience, and the ability to troubleshoot across the full stack, with a bias toward end-to-end ownership and continuous improvement.
