Job Summary
Own features end-to-end, from refinement and design through development, testing, and delivery to production. Build and maintain scalable microservices in C# and .NET on Azure Kubernetes Service while contributing across the stack including Angular UI, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines. Write clean, testable code, execute test cases, and manage test plans via Azure DevOps. Instrument services with OpenTelemetry and Datadog to own health, and participate in on-call rotation as a primary responder for services and infrastructure. Investigate and resolve customer escalations directly without handoff. Work in 2-week sprints with a globally distributed team, leveraging AI coding tools to accelerate development. Collaborate with architects and product managers across Panama, Hungary, and beyond.
Required Qualifications
- Strong C# and .NET (8+) experience building production microservices at scale
- Solid grasp of CQRS, event-driven architecture, and messaging systems (Azure Service Bus or similar)
- Hands-on with NoSQL databases — Cosmos DB, MongoDB, or similar
- Experience with CI/CD tooling — Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Comfortable with containerization and orchestration — Docker, Kubernetes, AKS
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful .NET microservices development
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- Strong English communication skills — written and verbal (our team is distributed globally)
- Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously across time zones
- Trunk-based development and feature branch discipline
- Git fluency and pull-request-based collaboration
- Observability-first mindset — you instrument what you ship
- AI coding tools as a daily part of your workflow
- Participating in on-call rotation as a primary responder for our services and the Kubernetes infrastructure that runs them
Desired Qualifications
- Frontend exposure — Angular, TypeScript, HTML/CSS
- Test automation — Python/Pytest, Playwright, or similar
- Infrastructure-as-code — Bicep, Terraform, or equivalent
- Familiarity with Identity and Access Management — OAuth, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, JWT
- Experience with Azure services beyond AKS (App Configuration, Key Vault, Service Bus)
- Exposure to OpenAPI spec authoring and API-first design
