Job Summary

Implement software quality standards across multiple programs by auditing development processes for compliance with established policies, procedures, and program plans. Develop, modify, and maintain quality evaluation plans to assist program activities while collaborating with engineering management on quality planning and objectives. Participate in contractual reviews, audits, and configuration control board meetings to ensure quality standards are followed. Witness execution of software qualification and system acceptance tests, documenting anomalies and tracking them to closure. Evaluate software suppliers for capability and capacity, ensuring corrective measures meet acceptable quality standards and documentation remains compliant. Support CMMI and AS9100 audit activities by identifying non-conformance and driving corrective actions. This role is located in Rancho Bernardo or Palmdale, CA, with a 9/80 bi-weekly schedule for Rancho Bernardo or a 4/10 schedule for Palmdale. Candidates must hold a Top Secret clearance.

Required Qualifications

  • Top Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain program access
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, or other STEM-related field with 2 years of relevant software development and integration work experience
  • Master's Degree in computer science, software engineering, or other STEM-related field with 2 years of relevant software development and integration work experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Agile software development process
  • Demonstrated knowledge of C, C++, Java, Python
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the collection of software data and metrics for reporting
  • Demonstrated knowledge in process and product evaluation
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, or other STEM-related field with 5 years of relevant software development and integration work experience
  • Master's Degree in computer science, software engineering, or other STEM-related field with 5 years of relevant software development and integration work experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software development processes including Agile, Waterfall, and Spiral Development processes
  • Demonstrated experience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metric reporting
  • Demonstrated experience in process and product evaluation
  • U.S. Citizenship

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in a Software Engineering environment in an engineering capacity, work plan review, and manufacturing readiness review
  • Experience in root cause/corrective action analysis
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite with add-ons like Git and Confluence
  • Certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies
  • Ability to work independently with all levels of management to identify solutions to complex problems
  • Experience with software code review
  • Open to learning different software tools
