Job Summary

Conduct black-box testing of the Adobe Premiere video editing application, focusing on playback, export performance, and visual quality across Windows and Mac platforms. Design and maintain comprehensive test strategies for functional, regression, and performance coverage, while creating automation scripts to extend the existing test harness. Validate visual fidelity for effects and transitions, ensuring highest quality, performance, and scalability for both first-party and third-party plugins. Required Qualifications

  • 12+ Months W2 Contract
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong background testing professional video or media applications (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects, Resolve, Avid, Final Cut Pro), with deep familiarity with NLE editing workflows
  • Expert‐level hands‐on experience using Premiere Pro (or similar NLE) for timeline editing, effects, transitions, and export workflows in real production‐style projects
  • Proven expertise in validating visual quality for effects and transitions (artifacts, blending/compositing issues, temporal glitches, frame accuracy) across both first‐party and third‐party plugins
  • Demonstrated experience in performance and reliability testing for media applications: playback FPS, scrubbing responsiveness, render/export performance, and stability under heavy, complex projects
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies and plans for large, multi‐feature areas, including functional, regression, and performance coverage
  • Solid experience with test automation and scripting (e.g., Python/JavaScript or similar) to build or extend test harnesses, automate scenarios, and analyze logs/metrics
  • Track record of driving issues from discovery to closure: excellent defect isolation, clear reproduction steps, high‐quality bug reports, and effective collaboration with developers and PMs
