Job Summary
Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program on-site in Huntsville, AL. You will assist with code reviews, product reviews, configuration audits, test witnessing, post-test analysis, and software quality reporting metrics; collaborate with engineering, test, and product teams across the software development lifecycle; utilize Jira, Confluence, and DOORS; support local lab activities and travel to field sites as required; and contribute to process improvements and audits. This role requires a STEM degree, at least 2 years of related experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance; it is not offered as teleworking or hybrid.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with a minimum of 2 years related experience; 0 Years with Masters.
- Must be able to obtain an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application.
- Experience using metrics for process health and performance monitoring.
- Experience in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Experience evaluating, tracing, and analysis of requirements.
- Experience with software development lifecycle.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, DOORS or similar tools.
- Ability to read and understand software code.
- AS9100 experience (preferred).
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (preferred).
- Experience in audits of engineering processes (preferred).
- Experience with Agile software development (preferred).
