Job Summary
Maintain software quality engineering program plans and use established criteria to review, comment, and recommend approval of software life cycle documents and program products. Conduct limited audits of software engineering processes, assist in configuration management activities, and verify pre-test setup while monitoring or witnessing test activity against established plans. Identify non-conformances, issue corrective actions, and review and approve corrective and preventive action plans to improve products and manage risk. Assist with software acceptance and delivery activities for low risk procurements and verify the acceptability of supplier software quality systems. This role supports Boeing Defense, Space, & Security in El Segundo, CA, requiring a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and 100% onsite work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 1+ year of experience working in a project where various software development methodologies are being utilized
- 1+ year of experience in a Software Quality role
- 1+ year of experience working independently to develop, modify and document actions to assure problem resolution and/or to implement corrective action and/or preventive action
- Level 3: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 4: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) auditing
- Software Quality Engineering experience supporting software with AS9115, DO-178, and/or MIL-STD-882E requirements
- Experience with configuration management and collaboration tools such as (or similar to) Git, Jira, Collaborator, Bitbucket and Beyond Compare
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience with code reviews
- Experience with automated DevOps processes/tools
