Job Summary
Software Quality Engineer role (1-year contract) at Activate Interactive in Singapore. You will help establish an automation-first QA culture across frontend UI, API, and performance testing, build and maintain automated test suites, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines with DevOps collaboration, and contribute to QA tooling, standards, and documentation. The position emphasizes collaboration with Software and DevOps engineers, definition of acceptance criteria, triage of failures, and exploration of GenAI tools to enhance testing workflows. Requires 3+ years in QA/test automation, experience across front-end/UI, API, performance testing, and CI/CD integration; familiarity with Java/JavaScript testing ecosystems; and a Computer Science/Software Engineering-related degree or equivalent practical experience.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in QA or test engineering with a strong focus on test automation
- Experience writing and maintaining automated tests for front-end UI, API, and performance testing
- Familiarity with Java and/or JavaScript testing ecosystems
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Ability to evaluate, recommend, and adopt appropriate testing tools
- Experience contributing to QA practices, standards, and tooling within a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with triage and debugging capabilities
- Exposure to agile/iterative development environments
- Interest in applying GenAI tools to testing workflows
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Infocomm Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
