Job Summary
Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts for web and desktop applications using Playwright, Cypress, or WebDriverIO. Perform manual functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing while validating software against business requirements and user stories. Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution using defect management tools. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project teams to improve testing processes, standards, and automation coverage within the Agile SDLC. Communicate testing progress, results, and quality metrics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including manual testing and/or test automation
- At least one year of hands-on experience with Playwright or another Node.js-based automation testing tool (such as Cypress or WebDriverIO)
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, testing lifecycle, and SDLC
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, and test strategies from business requirements or user stories
- Experience performing manual functional, smoke, regression, and integration testing
- Experience using defect tracking and test management tools
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a development team
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with JavaScript and Node.js-based automation tools preferred
- Experience with Playwright
- Experience testing web, desktop, and API applications
- Programming or scripting experience
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
